Today, we taught ourselves to ollie. Though it is simple and one of the easiest "tricks" to learn in skating, it was harder than it seemed. The mind set we had was weight forward, popping the front of the board up. once popped, lift back foot as front foot drags towards the front of the board. This causes the back of the board to level out and all you have to do is land.
The ollie is a key to skating if you want to succeed in flat ground advanced tricks. From the kick flip to a nose grind, you must at least have the ollie mastered.
until next week, Cameron Cropper and Alexander Gales
